Bishop Library has two scanners. The Scannx Book ScanCenter is a touch screen scanner that also has a book edge that makes scanning pages from books and bound journals easier. It has various output options such as email, U drive, USB, printer and smartphone/tablet. You would log into the Scannx Book ScanCenter with your LVC username/password. Visitors to the library can get a guest pass at the circulation desk that will allow them to log into the Scannx. This touch screen scanner is located on the 2nd floor of the library.
The other Scanner is attached to the digital microfilm computer, which is located on the ground floor. To use this scanner, you log into the digital microfilm computer with your LVC username/password or a guest pass and then follow the directions that are posted next to the scanner. Scans are created using the Adobe Acrobat Pro software which is installed on the computer.
