When you're accessing LVC's databases from off-campus, you'll need to login, or authenticate (identify you as being a member of the LVC community).
Authentication occurs behind the scenes when you're on-campus, since the database vendors can "see" that you're coming from a computer that has an LVC IP.
Off-campus, your computer won't have an LVC IP. Off-campus, when you attempt to access a database, you'll be prompted to login. On the left-hand side of the screen, you'll see a list of colleges. Click on that pull-down bar and select LVC. Next, put your LVC username (no @lvc.edu, just what's before it) and your LVC password.
You should get in. Didn't work? Email email@example.com.
